Our community is designed to support independence while providing personalized care tailored to each resident’s needs. We are currently hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our Nursing team and provide compassionate, high-quality personal care and delegated nursing services to support residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. Wage: $19.00–$21.50/hr. DOE Schedule: Day shift (0.4 FTE)
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Commitment to working every other weekend and scheduled holidays
Nice To Haves
- HHA certification in Minnesota
- Experience working with older adults in hospital, nursing home, or home care settings
- Prior medication administration experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification with the State of Minnesota
- Experience working with older adults in a hospital, nursing home, or home care setting
- Previous medication administration experience
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care: dressing, grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, and applying lotions
- Provide toileting assistance and incontinence care
- Support ambulation, transfers, and repositioning using assistive devices and safe body mechanics
- Offer assistance with hearing aids, glasses, and sensory devices
- Provide medication reminders, assistance, or administration as delegated by an RN
- Assist with blood glucose monitoring and insulin injections (delegated by RN)
- Prepare meals per dietary plans and provide feeding support when needed
- Record and report vital signs and resident concerns promptly
- Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities
- Use dementia care techniques including validation and redirection
- Assist with treatments as delegated by RNs or licensed therapists
- Maintain household cleanliness: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and laundry
- Ensure proper organization and stocking of medical and household supplies
