Mainstay was founded in 1975 to provide services to people with mental illness, and our mandate has since expanded to cover a variety of vulnerable populations, including low-income elders; people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities; and the recently homeless. A Day in the Life of a Home Health Aide: Each shift brings a new opportunity to positively impact someone’s life. On shift you may help a client with dressing, grooming, and medication reminders. You also might prepare a meal together, provide companionship, and assist with light housekeeping. Throughout your shift, you’ll engage clients in meaningful activities, track daily goals, and ensure their comfort and well-being. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys one-on-one care, values flexibility, and wants to make a difference while working part-time hours! We're looking for 2 Home Health Aides to work: Sunday - Tuesday or Wednesday - Saturday

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred)
  • CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
  • Basic computer skills for documentation & communication
  • Kind, reliable, and caring with a passion for helping others
  • A team player who collaborates well with families, staff, and supervisors
  • Open to learning and committed to high-quality care
  • Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, toileting)
  • Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Offer companionship and engage in recreational activities
  • Monitor and report any health status changes to your manager
  • Maintain daily service logs and documentation
