About The Position

The Home Health Aide (CNA) professionally, compassionately and appropriately assists clients with many basic care tasks for patients such as personal hygiene, minor medical needs, housekeeping and other daily needs as required by the client. S/he works with limited supervision keeping the clients' needs as top priority.

Requirements

• Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public
• Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask
• Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Active, unrestricted state issued driver's license
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent, required
• Current CNA or HHA licensure with the State of Kansas, required
• BLS, required

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years' experience in a healthcare setting, preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver great client care with compassionate support, attention and assistance to clients and families
• Provide physical support for clients with daily activities and personal hygiene including bathing, dressing, walking, standing or exercising
• Accompany clients to their doctor or therapy visits
• Liaise with client families
• Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
• Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy
• The Home Health Aide (HHA/CNA) assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
