The Home Hardlines/Clerk is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service, establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customer returns. This role assists the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals, monitors quality assurance standards, embraces the Customer 1st strategy, and encourages associates to deliver excellent customer service. The clerk is also expected to role model and demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Smith’s Food and Drug, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, merged with The Kroger Company in 1998 and now serves customers in over 140 stores across Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming.
