The Family Foster Care programs are designed to help children reunite with their families, be adopted, or connect with supportive adults throughout their lives. The Homefinding Supervisor plays a crucial role in leading and managing the organization's efforts to assess, onboard, and develop a robust pool of foster and adoptive parents. This position ensures compliance with regulatory standards set by the New York City Administration for Children's Services (ACS) and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). The Homefinding Supervisor will oversee the certification and recertification processes, which include conducting background checks, home safety assessments, and continuous training for foster parents. Utilizing the Solutions Based Casework practice model, the supervisor will ensure that foster and adoptive parents prioritize the physical and emotional well-being of the children placed in their care, ensuring appropriate placements in safe and nurturing environments. In collaboration with the Family Foster Care & Adoption Program's Case Management team, the Homefinding Supervisor will ensure that foster parents provide excellent care, characterized by a quality family life, safety, education, prompt medical care, good nutrition, and structured routines. Additionally, the supervisor will support the Foster Parent recruitment team and the RDS Director as needed, contributing to the overall mission of Graham Windham.
