About The Position

JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain knowledge of and adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulations. Complete all necessary paperwork to ensure loans are processed and follow-up is done in a timely manner. Order all required third party services such as Valuation, Flood and Title. Review and prepare all checklists as required for these services. Prepare and ensure appropriate liens are placed and subordinations processed as required. Conduct post close loan reviews for accuracy within department guidelines and policies. Supports and assists area personnel, members, branch staff, and other departments as needed. Communicates and coordinates with borrowers throughout the application process as needed. Maintain department expected SLAs. Performs miscellaneous clerical functions as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by Consumer Lending Manager or Director of Lending. QualificationsKNOWLEDGE Understanding of home equity loan products and services. Knowledge of home equity processing functions and related processes. Knowledge of Credit Union loan policies, procedures, products, processing, and guidelines. Understanding of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. SKILLS Collaborator, values building a unified team, open to input from others, and guidance from all levels. Effective communication and listening skills; can comfortably deal with people at all levels; possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to effectively communicate with people in potentially stressful situations. Strong organizational skills, attention to details, and ability to multi-task and prioritize work without direction. Detail oriented with the ability to accurately transfer numerical information within various software systems. Able to meet deadlines under pressure. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE The individual should have 1+ years of experience of loan processing experience in a consumer lending role, preferably within a credit union. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient in Microsoft applications. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The position requires the following physical activities within varying environmental conditions: Occasionally remaining in a stationary position which may be standing or sitting for a prolonged period. Occasional travel or moving from one office location to another or from one department to another at the headquarters building. Occasional lifting, moving, or adjusting objects up to 20 pounds. Constant communication with others through various channels including verbal, email, and chat of which the last two may require consistent use of a keyboard and mouse or another electronic device. Work will be in a commercially reasonable temperature-controlled environment. Occasional temporary exterior site review which could be in outdoor elements of wind, rain, or snow.
