About The Position

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community while working on a casual (as-needed) basis, and earn a little extra money? Join our team at the Marion County Senior Citizens Center as a Hot-Cold Truck Driver and help deliver nutritious meals to seniors who depend on them! Position Type Part-Time / Casual (as needed) Generally works Wednesdays, and may also work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Great for retirees, caregivers, or anyone seeking supplemental income Non-exempt Hourly Wage Range $11 - $15 /hour Reports to the Nutrition Coordinator Purpose Under general guidance, drives a company hot/cold-truck over established routes or within an established territory to deliver meals and/or supplies to MCSC, Inc. clients or other senior centers. May collect donations from clients. May assist in packaging meals for delivery.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid West Virginia driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Load and unload insulated containers with hot and cold meals.
Deliver meals to scheduled locations and clients according to route.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of delivery vehicle and equipment.
Complete delivery logs and report any issues or delays.
Communicate respectfully with clients, staff, and the public.
Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures.
Collect donations from clients and/or other senior centers when applicable.
Observe and report client welfare following established protocol.
Record details of deliveries.
Report issues affecting transportation operations.
Review client information.
Inform regular customers of schedule changes.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Executive Director.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or above.
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
