About The Position

Senior Helpers – Southern Maryland is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver with a minimum of one year of experience working in a care facility to join our home care team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of seniors and their families throughout Southern Maryland.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience working in a care facility (assisted living, nursing home, or similar) – required
Not required to hold CNA/GNA/HHA certification
Compassionate, respectful, reliable, and consistent
Genuine passion for supporting seniors and enhancing their quality of life
Strong communication and customer service skills
Willingness to learn and grow within the caregiving profession

Responsibilities

Provide personalized companion care and assistance with daily living activities to support client safety, independence, and well-being
Build strong relationships through meaningful conversation and engagement in clients’ favorite activities (such as walks, movies, and games)
Offer reliable transportation for errands, appointments, and shopping
Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and medication reminders
Support clients with mobility, toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
Monitor and report on clients’ condition and behavior, ensuring accurate updates for care teams
Follow care plans and guidelines provided by Registered Nurses
Perform additional supportive tasks as needed
