Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is currently hiring compassionate Caregivers and Home Care Aides to provide non-medical, in-home care to seniors and adults in Munster, IN and surrounding Lake & Porter County areas. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
1+ year caregiving experience preferred (home care, assisted living, or long-term care)
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
Must pass a national background check
CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain)
Dependable, professional, and compassionate
Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and documentation

Nice To Haves

CNA experience welcomed but not required

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, ambulation, and transfers
Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and organization
Assist with safe mobility using walkers or wheelchairs
Provide medication reminders only (no administration)
Observe, document, and report changes in client condition
Clock in/out and complete care notes using a mobile app
Follow all agency policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures
