About The Position

KinCare is seeking dedicated Aged Care Workers in the Latrobe 7307 area to provide essential support to older members of our community. This role offers flexible work/life hours and shifts, with a casual employment structure. The position includes a competitive award rate of $39.55 per hour plus superannuation, paid kilometers, and a phone allowance. We are committed to improving the quality of life and wellbeing for our customers through tailored in-home care services. As a Care Worker, you will make a difference in the lives of our customers by assisting them with daily activities and providing emotional support.

Requirements

• 3 months or more experience as a support or care worker, including personal care skills, or willingness to learn personal care skills.
• Current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle.
• Availability to work at least 3 days a week, Monday to Friday.

• Experience in a similar role, particularly with personal care.
• Ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems.

Responsibilities

• Domestic Assistance: Cleaning the home of older people to ensure a safe and beautiful living environment.
• Helping customers with meal preparation and shopping.
• Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities.
• Personal care (once trained), including getting customers up, showered, and dressed for the day, medication management, and assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
• Providing respite and emotional support.
• Transporting customers to appointments.
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.
