Guaranteed hours and shifts in the North Sydney/Lower North Shore area - TRANSPAC. Above Award rate $35.93 per hour + Super + Paid KM's + Salary Packaging up to $18,500 tax free. It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community. We are looking for just that person to join our KinCare team in the McMahons Point, North Sydney, Neutral Bay, Willoughby, Chatswood - Lower North Shore area.

Requirements

• Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability or Nursing
• Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
• Current Open class Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle
• Additional Immunisations including Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (whooping cough), Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (chickenpox), TB (only for candidates from countries with a high incidence of Tuberculosis), Influenza, Covid 19

• Comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems
• Available to work at least 3 days - Monday - Friday
• Ability to handle customer challenges without taking them personally

Responsibilities

• Domestic Assistance: Cleaning the home of older people so they have a safe and beautiful place to live (Maximum of 2 hours of DA work per shift)
• Helping our customers with meal preparation and shopping
• Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities
• Personal care including getting them up, showered and dressed for the day, medication management, assisting with mobility and therapy goals
• Providing respite and emotional support
• Social support and transport to appointments
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
