About The Position

Guaranteed hours and shifts in Gold Coast North area - Permanent Part Time. Award rate $31.64 per hour + Super + Salary Packaging up to $18,500 tax-free + Paid KM's. Accelerated career progression. Do you have 3 months or more experience in aged care support or as an aged care worker including personal care skills OR be willing to learn personal care skills but don’t have a Certification in Aged Care or Individual Support? It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community. We are looking for just that person to join our KinCare team in the Gold Coast North area.

Requirements

• Experience of 3 months or more in a similar role within aged care
• Current P2 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle
• Willingness to learn personal care skills if not certified

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Aged Care or Individual Support
• Ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems

Responsibilities

• Assisting our Customers in cleaning their home, so they have a safe and beautiful place to live
• Helping our customers with meal preparation and shopping
• Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities
• Providing personal care services (once trained), including getting them up, showered and dressed for the day, medication management, assisting with mobility and therapy goals
• Providing respite and emotional support
• Providing social support and transport to appointments
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
