About The Position

The Weekend Scheduling Coordinator at Cerna Homecare is responsible for managing the scheduling of care for assigned clients, ensuring that staffing needs are met, and maintaining communication with clients, caregivers, and other stakeholders. This part-time, remote position requires availability on weekends and includes on-call responsibilities during nights. The role emphasizes effective communication, organization, and the ability to handle emergency situations in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• One plus year of Homecare or Home Health scheduling experience
• One plus year of Office admin experience
• Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports
• Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations
• Ability to communicate effectively with groups

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare services
• Familiarity with long-term care insurance submissions

Responsibilities

• Scheduling caregivers for assigned clients
• Ensuring client care schedules are current
• Handling emergency situations such as call-offs and cancellations
• Participating in on-call duty for after-hours and weekends
• Communicating effectively via email during duty hours
• Confirming field staff are aware of all assignments and duties
• Reporting field staff performance issues to HR
• Updating client schedules regularly in the database
• Documenting and tracking activity for billing and payroll
• Assisting with tasks as directed by management
• Collaborating with a team to manage clients' care needs
