A Registered Nurse (RN) who provides skilled nursing care in accordance with a physician’s plan of treatment.
Requirements
Graduate of a state-accredited school of nursing with their associate, diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Must possess and maintain current Minnesota license as a Registered Nurse.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or other form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
Able to use reality orientation, diversion, validation techniques with appropriate clients.
Has reliable transportation to client’s home as assigned.
Has a valid Minnesota Driver’s License.
Must possess the ability to communicate both orally and in writing effectively with clients, families, healthcare providers and co-workers and paraprofessional staff.
Must be able to demonstrate effective communication on a one-to-one or in small group settings to client, customers, and other employees of the organization.
Must be punctual, attendance satisfactory and provides proper notice of absence or tardiness.
Must be mature and emotionally stable.
Handles conflict in diplomatic and tactful manner.
Able to accurately reflect in written and/or verbal communication the assessment of a client/family or paraprofessional situation.
Must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently to accomplish workload in time allotted.
Must be able to demonstrate motivation, initiative and independence in management of time, clients and patient care coordinator’s role.
Must be adaptable and flexible to changing situations.
Must work as a team member.
Willing to work with others and cooperate fully for the good of all.
Must maintain a positive attitude.
Attends mandatory in-services as required.
Must follow safety rules/regulations of the agency, reporting injuries and accidents to managerial staff
At least two (2) years of nursing experience in either acute care or home care setting, within the past two (2) years.
