About The Position

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of services, program development and enhancements, and adherence to policies and procedures. Provide management of staff. Provide community wide education, works closely with dotted line management team.

  • Education: Associates Degree
  • Three to five years experience in healthcare required. Home Care experience preferred. Leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective customer relations and interpersonal relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, demonstrating problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and coordinate services and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Ensure the most effective operation through program development, process improvement and coordination of processes across functions and departments of the agency.
  • Monitor and coordinate programs and activities of staff.
  • Establish/implement/monitor/evaluate inventory, purchasing, receiving, delivery, cleaning, restocking and repair systems in collaboration with dotted line management team.
  • Assist staff in setting priorities and developing plans for services/products.
  • Collaborate with staff members and team members in planning integrated services/products for patients.
  • Identify scheduling and staffing needs to handle referrals and make caseload assignments.
  • With the Director, develop, implement and evaluate a strategic operational and marketing plan for services.
  • Ensure that work schedules or project priorities are adapted appropriately to meet emergencies or changing conditions.
  • Supervision and Evaluation: Coordinate with billing management and accounting management team to ensure appropriate staffing for office functions including customer service and inventory control are met.
  • Complete performance appraisals for assigned staff with collaboration of management team.
  • Conduct counseling/disciplinary meetings with staff as needed.
  • Supervise all personnel to ensure quality of service and maintenance of standards of performance and performs performance evaluations.
  • Review and evaluate the services/products provided by staff through a variety of means such as ride-alongs, home visits, conferences and record review.
  • Recommends staff for employment promotions, retention, special assignments or termination.
  • Collaborate with education team for new staff and ongoing in-services for existing staff.
  • Oversee all office support functions.
  • Coordinate activities of office support staff with management team.
  • Assist with agency community and health system education activities including; ensuring required documentation is received and making arrangements for special events such as open houses, clinics, and presentations in coordination with management team.
  • Maintains petty cash, donation receipts and office supply expenditures.
  • Prepares and or distributes agency information to staff.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate staff schedules by providing coverage for day to day services to patients.
  • Communicate with discharge planners or other referral sources at local facilities regarding referrals.
  • Communication: Answer incoming phone calls from patients, physicians, staff etc.
  • Channel information or messages as needed.
  • Greet and direct public and visitors to the office.
  • Provide information to the public about agency services and programs.
  • Management: Maintain productive relationships with referring physicians, and as appropriate with vendors, and representatives from contracted arrangements.
  • Participate in policy and program formulation for the agency in coordination with other management personnel.
  • Interpret and implements personnel policies.
  • Participate in evaluating agency programs.
  • Coordinates and reports performance improvement efforts, work closely with PI department and assist with chart review.
  • Serve as liaison between staff and administrative personnel.
  • Represent agency in community education, recruitment, fundraising activities, state associations and forums.
  • Participate as a member of the management team in identifying non-clinical needs in service area and initiation of new programs by the agency.
  • Assist in agency community education activities as requested, may provide informational meetings with family/referral party as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
