About The Position

Piedmont Crossing is Hiring! Home Care Companion Part-Time Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville NC, is seeking a compassionate, dependable Home Care Companion to support residents in maintaining a vibrant, engaging, and meaningful lifestyle. Under the direction of the Home Care Agency Director RN and/or Clinical Supervisor, this role focuses on companionship, activity support, and providing a safe, uplifting environment for those we serve. If you enjoy making a difference in someone's daily life through encouragement, conversation, meaningful activities, and supportive services—this is the role for you.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must hold a current driver's license with an excellent driving record.
Must be 25 years of age or older to meet vehicle insurance requirements for company transportation.

Nice To Haves

Experience working or volunteering in a skilled nursing or assisted living setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide resident support by assisting with daily activities, personal appearance, mobility, dining transitions, and general readiness while offering cuing and encouragement.
Deliver companionship and engaging activities that promote creativity, movement, communication, emotional well‑being, spiritual enrichment, and social involvement both inside and outside the facility.
Maintain a safe, clean environment by assisting with laundry, light housekeeping, food service tasks, and basic meal preparation.
Support community involvement by organizing and assisting with outings, transportation, personal shopping, reservations, and welcoming new residents during their adjustment.
Ensure quality and safety by documenting services, following policies and infection‑control procedures, promptly reporting concerns, and completing additional duties as assigned.
