Home Care Aide
About The Position
We are looking for a Home Care Aide to join our team! You will be directly working with patients, following a one-on-one care plan in patient homes. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus. Companionship is key to a trusted relationship with our caregivers. We not only strive to help you with everyday tasks but want to develop a caring relationship with you. Our caregivers will also be a companion for you or your loved one. We focus on building a personal relationship while engaging in fun activities and consistent exceptional care for time needed. Experienced Personal As part of our exceptional care service we offer an array of different at home Caregivers. All of our faithful staff are background checked and certified in CPR & First Aid along with their own credentials. Our staff can be entrusted to uphold patient client confidentiality while offering exceptional at home care.
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program
- High School Diploma or GED
- One-year prior professional experience
- Driver’s license required
- CPR certification required
Nice To Haves
- Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
- Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
- Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor
- Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
- Give medications and immunizations
- Engage patients in exercises or other activities
