Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with preferred ICU, ED, or Critical Care experience
  • Board Certified
  • Hold a valid Driver’s License
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Autonomously provides high-quality care to patients in their homes
  • Visit types to include: Hospital at Home, Urgent Care, and Primary Care
  • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Average of 4-6 patients per day, must be able to flex schedule as needs arise
  • Travel Radius: 25 miles of Iowa Methodist Medical Center
  • Shared call among the providers at a rotation of 1:3 or 1:4 (Triaged through MyNurse)
  • Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
