About The Position

The Social Worker position at Massachusetts General Hospital's Home Base program focuses on providing clinical care and support to veterans, service members, and their families. Requirements

• Master's of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program required.
• Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or must obtain MA LCSW within 4 months of hire date.
• Minimum 1-2 years clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC is a plus.
• Experience with veteran and military family populations and knowledge of military culture is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Training in trauma-focused therapy modalities such as Prolonged Exposure and/or Cognitive Processing Therapy is preferred but not required.
• Experience in massed CBT approaches for the treatment of PTSD.
• Experience in family and couples' therapies.
• Experience in substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health evaluations for veterans and military-connected family members.
• Provide individual and group evidence-based psychotherapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
• Complete record reviews and collaborate with external providers for admissions decisions.
• Consult with the team for mandated assessments when abuse is suspected and conduct safety assessments.
• Responsible for crisis intervention and management.
• Document timely and relevant information in patient electronic medical records and case management databases.
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments in the Outpatient Intake Clinic and manage a small outpatient therapy caseload.
