About the position

The Home Appliance Product Expert provides in-depth technical training to LG services, as directed by LGEAI Management. Primary duties are to inspect and evaluate the products and provide subject matter expertise for technical information services. They interact with internal and external departments or factory personnel as required to assist with new product introduction, product quality issues and technical documentation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Support Inbound Quality Control on a weekly basis in Product warehouses
  • Conduct new product introduction activities as required for assigned product(s)
  • Author, edit, maintain and create technical documentation to include user manuals, service manuals and technical articles
  • Assist external departments and/or factory personnel to identify, report and resolve product quality, operational or maintenance related issues
  • Test and evaluate returned product as required to perform root cause analysis for failures; document and communicate corrective actions
  • Provide technical support for trainers, advisors or field technicians
  • Review product safety, installation, setup/programming, operation, maintenance, advanced maintenance and repair activities; assist trainers, advisors or field technicians
  • Maintain exceptional knowledge for assigned product(s), technology as well as industry standards and practices
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Other duties assigned by LGEAI headquarters management

Requirements

  • Minimum of associate’s degree, or technical training in appliance or technical related field
  • Must have the ability to proactively monitor and manage funds and finances accurately
  • High level of PC knowledge such as MS Office & possess excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Minimum of 10 years’ working experience in consumer electronics and/or appliance fields
  • High level of mechanical and electrical concepts
  • High level of refrigeration operation and theory
  • Technical knowledge of sealed system repair
  • Technical bench repair experience and/or technical training experience is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of working hours for business trips and training
  • May require some international travel to LG factories or other facilities
