About The Position

Holy Cross Hospital is a Level II Trauma and Certified Stroke Center located in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on Chicago's south side. This dynamic facility consists of North and South Emergency Departments that operate within the framework of the mission, vision, and values of Holy Cross Hospital. Requirements

  • 2 years of Emergency Room Experience Required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with valid IL license.
  • BLS / ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing patient status and identifying problems.
  • Developing and implementing a plan of care through the delivery and delegation of care.
  • Evaluating care delivery and promoting patient/family education.
  • Involving the patient/family and other members of the health care team in planning and implementation to meet expected healthcare outcomes.
  • Delivering care while considering the individual's age, developmental level, learning ability, health status, and belief system.
  • Influencing individuals or groups to accomplish goals through guiding, directing, teaching, coaching, and motivating others.
  • Communicating and collaborating with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals/disciplines.
