Role Summary & Location The Holophane Sales Representative drives sales by developing and nurturing customer relationships in the assigned NJ area. They also help support projects that involve multiple territories. This hybrid position is located in New Jersey.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Availability to travel, including overnight trips, based upon business needs. Approximately 10% -20%.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the lighting and/or controls business is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Calling on various buying influences in the defined territory to meet sales goals/quotas set by sales management. Buying influences are any company, organization, group, and/or person who can influence the purchase of our Products and Services.
  • Building and cultivating relationships with various buying influences that support the value proposition to maximize sales opportunities and profitability for our Products and Services.
  • Utilizing various tools, internal and external, to search out and find potential sales opportunities for our Products and Services.
  • Providing support to develop pricing for the sales of our Products and Services.
  • Interacting with other Holophane Sales Representatives throughout our organization to support sales of the Products and Services involving multiple territories, National Accounts, and Focused Account personnel.
  • Leveraging internal tools to increase Sales Representative effectiveness and improve results.
  • Providing post-sales support, which may involve the resolution of product deficiencies and/or the delivery of material by third-party partners.
  • Being a positive and respected representative of the company in organizations and activities that involve industry leaders, including participating actively in groups that educate and support the growth of Specified Products and Services.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with other programs, to analyze and report business data.
  • Effectively communicating and working collaboratively in a matrix organization.
