Volunteers are the heartbeat of this mission, and we’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Holistic Service Coordinator to lead this vital program. We’re Hiring Immediately! Your Role in Our Mission: As the Holistic Service Coordinator , you will lead our volunteer program, ensuring that our patients and their families receive the care and companionship they need. You’ll also ensure Unified Care Hospice meets federal hospice guidelines requiring volunteers to provide at least 5% of total patient care hours. This position is dynamic and hands-on, with the opportunity to connect with people in the community to grow our network of compassionate volunteers.

Requirements

• A compassionate individual with a passion for holistic care and volunteer leadership.
• Previous experience in volunteer coordination , community outreach, or a related field (hospice or holistic therapy experience is a plus).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and guide volunteers and build community connections.
• Willingness to drive around town for volunteer outreach and recruitment (must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation).

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of hospice care, volunteer management, or holistic therapies is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and Inspire Volunteers: Drive around town to connect with local community groups, businesses, and organizations to recruit passionate volunteers. Promote Unified Care Hospice’s mission and opportunities through in-person outreach, events, and presentations.
• Provide Training Rooted in Holistic Care: Organize and lead volunteer training sessions that emphasize our focus on holistic services like yoga, music therapy, and reiki. Offer ongoing support and education to keep volunteers engaged and confident.
• Coordinate Meaningful Volunteer Assignments: Match volunteers with patients and families based on their skills, interests, and availability. Work with the care team to integrate holistic therapies into patient support plans.
• Celebrate and Recognize Volunteers: Build relationships with volunteers and foster a sense of community and purpose. Organize events to celebrate and recognize the invaluable contributions of volunteers.
• Ensure Compliance and Maintain Records: Track volunteer hours and activities to meet federal hospice guidelines. Maintain accurate records of volunteer contributions, cost savings, and program impact.
