The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, Autograph Collection, is seeking a dedicated individual to join our engineering team. This position is crucial in maintaining all building-related systems and ensuring the safety of our hotel guests, associates, and vendors. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company engineering assumptions, preventative maintenance programs, and all relevant building, fire, and health department codes. The role also emphasizes energy efficiency, with a focus on identifying and implementing ways to save energy throughout the hotel. As part of the training program, the candidate will develop specific contributions necessary for successful completion and placement within the hotel. Responsibilities include assisting with preventative maintenance tasks, completing work orders, and performing routine checks and repairs on various hotel equipment. The role requires a hands-on approach to maintaining the hotel’s physical environment, including the upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and the building's exterior. The candidate will also be expected to respond courteously to guest inquiries and complaints, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. This position may involve exposure to extreme temperatures and the operation of heavy machinery, necessitating a commitment to safety and compliance with attendance rules. The ideal candidate will possess vocational training or experience in building-related trades such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry, and will be able to lift weights ranging from 25 to 50 lbs. Effective communication skills are essential, as the candidate will need to interact with supervisors, coworkers, and guests effectively.
