Under the supervision and direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Site Director plans activities, oversees counselors’ activities, and oversees all functions of the Before/After School site. Hobo Jungle Camp is a hands-on, project-based camp where campers bring their ideas to life using wood, hammers, nails, and creativity. The program emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, confidence-building, and safe tool use in a structured, supportive environment. The H-F Park District’s mission statement is “to enhance the quality of life through diverse recreational opportunities, facilities, and parks while caring for the environment”. The Hobo Jungle Site Director is responsible for the overall supervision, management, and daily operations of the Hobo Jungle site. This leadership role ensures that all building activities run safely, efficiently, and in alignment with camp standards. The Site Director must be able to perform all duties of a Hobo Jungle Camp Counselor, including hands-on project support, tool supervision, and active engagement with campers. In addition, this role provides staff oversight, site organization, and operational leadership. Hours: 8:00 am -12:00 pm M-F
