  • Manage and maintain HL7 interfaces to update, migrate, and build inbound and outbound HL7 feeds.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HL7 interfaces to integrate EHR systems with internal systems.
  • Utilize MuleSoft middleware to manage HL7 messages, convert HL7 files to JSON format, and ensure accurate data processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient data workflows between various healthcare systems and databases.
  • Work closely with the data engineering team to integrate HL7 data feeds into internal systems including Databricks.
  • Assist with the implementation of HL7 FHIR standards for healthcare data exchange, ensuring scalability and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to HL7 message integration and ensure optimal performance of data pipelines.
  • Provide technical documentation and support to internal teams regarding HL7 integration processes and best practices.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an HL7 Integration Engineer or in a similar technical role.
  • Hands-on experience with middleware products such as Mulesoft (preferred), Apigee, or Rhapsody.
  • Proficient in Python coding, particularly for automating data transformations and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of HL7 messaging standards and their application in healthcare environments.
  • Experience with integrating EHR systems (such as Epic) and working with HL7 message feeds.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve integration issues.
  • Exposure to HL7 FHIR standards and experience with FHIR implementations.
  • Experience with JSON-to-FHIR interfaces and working within the FHIR ecosystem for healthcare data exchange.
  • Knowledge of Databricks and experience with bringing data from HL7 interfaces into Databricks environments.
