About The Position

Prepares specimens and performs testing procedures on pathology specimens that result in the creation of microscopic slide preparations for diagnostic and/or prognostic analysis by the pathologist. Applies technical theory to provide overall operational support necessary to maintain and optimize testing activities. Able to accommodate scheduling adjustments, off shifts, holidays, on-call, and weekend work assignments. Assists with training of students and employees. Additional Information: This position is within the Pathology Research Core (PRC) in the Biorepositories program. PRC provides research laboratory services including tissue sectioning, tissue microarray (TMA) construction, immunostaining, multiplex staining, and digital imaging. The primary focus of this role is to support tissue microarray services, with opportunities to expand the service line, introduce automation, and increase throughput.
