Requirements

Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience as a histotechnician or histotechnologist in a hospital laboratory setting.
Successful completion of histology technician / technologist training program
AS and three years of histology experience, or BA and one year of histology experience, or meet the qualification as outlined in 42 CFR 493.1449.
Meet the qualifications for moderate complex testing as outlined in 42 CFR 493.1449 of the Federal Register.
HT or HTL (ASCP); MT or MLT (ASCP); MT (HHS).
Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.
Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
