The History Instructor (part time) is responsible for facilitating student learning and improving student success. Faculty members will teach classes in history, adhering to course objectives, content, and delivery. They are expected to assess learning outcomes and their own teaching effectiveness while maintaining ethical standards as outlined by the NEA and the State of Michigan. Faculty must also maintain necessary licensure and certifications where applicable.

  • Master's degree in History from an accredited institution.

  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Ability to integrate computer applications into teaching.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collegial relationships.
  • Higher education teaching experience.
  • Familiarity with distance learning platforms.
