About The Position

Hillsborough Community College is seeking applicants to teach part-time for upcoming semesters. Applications will remain actively on file for one year. To be considered, applicants must have been awarded the qualifying degree and/or qualifying graduate semester hours. If selected for a screening interview for an adjunct faculty position, candidates must bring an official transcript(s) in a sealed envelope from the educational institution to the interview. Applicants with a qualifying degree from an educational institution outside the United States and Canada must submit a foreign credential evaluation from one of the members of the National Association of Credential Evaluations Services (website: www.naces.org).

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in history or master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in history.
  • Attach a copy of graduate academic transcripts from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Provide written documentation if the transcript does not reflect the awarding of the qualifying degree.

  • Preference will be given to veterans and spouses eligible under the Veterans' Preference Law.
