About The Position

ProSidian Seeks a Environmental Historian (A027) (CONUS/OCONUS - Jacksonville, FL and the Caribbean | Junior Consultant - Full-Time) to support an engagement for the second largest civil works district in the US Army Corps of Engineers, with an area of responsibility encompassing Florida and the Caribbean. This service supports DoD/Military Sector Sector Clients (For Present / Future Requirements) and ProSidian Team Members work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category ) to fulfill BLD - Blended (FFP/T&M) requirements for a provide Environmental Remediation Services, on behalf of the second largest civil works district in the US Army Corps of Engineers, with an area of responsibility encompassing Florida and the Caribbean. This position aligns with functional/technical service requirements and client engagements in the DoD/Military Client Industry Sector - Defense and Military: Services And Solutions That Enable Defense And Military Agencies To Enhance Capabilities, Drive Transformation, Operate Sustainably, And Maintain Mission-Readiness. Environmental Historian (A027) Candidates shall work to support requirements for CORHQ-22-R-0317 Environmental Functional Area Services. The roles and responsibilities of the Environmental Historian include but are not limited to: Performing a wide range of Environmental Remediation Services activities, environmental investigations related to remediation, water/wastewater services, industrial hygiene/safety support, and other support activities, environmental conservation activities, and pollution prevention activities Performing all geotechnical investigations including: Sampling and testing of soil (shallow, shallow subsurface, and deep subsurface). Soils shall be tested for both chemical and geotechnical parameters. Rock and/or other solid matter Sampling and testing of sediments Sampling and testing of groundwater and may involve installation and development of monitoring wells Determination of aquifer parameters and monitoring of groundwater elevations Sampling and testing of surface water Material testing for geotechnical properties and soil classification in accordance with Unified Soil Classification System. Logs and other data submitted shall be Bentley geotechnical and GINT compatible Provide comprehensive base sustainment, restoration, and modernization support to complete environmental compliance, evaluation, management and remediation for vertical and horizontal construction inspections, quality assurance and other SRM initiatives as defined in individual Task Orders awarded herein Provide comprehensive base support including assortment of environmental programs and initiatives to support a wide variety of critical functions and capabilities to enhance operations and readiness Work may include office automation, customer interface, and technical support required for environmental evaluation, compliance, remediation, and management Repository maintenance, document, and justification input for procurement actions Assist in monitoring contract durations, database maintenance, and provide input to various enterprise databases tracking programs Administrative support involving technical assistance in the organization and maintenance of the official filing systems and repository Data gathering and data entry into databases. Technical support involving project and document review Preparing scope of work and estimates and statistical reports

Requirements

  • THE ENVIRONMENTAL HISTORIAN SHALL HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:
  • Ability to conduct work in a professional manner with the highest degree of precision and accuracy obtainable
  • Ability to strictly abide to quality control limits and work plan in each Task Order provided
  • Must be certified to work at environmental, Installation Restoration Program (IRP) construction, and Hazardous Toxic and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) sites with both initial and annual Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certifications as appropriate
  • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations
  • Comfortable working with heavy equipment
  • Possess deep knowledge of transport and disposal procedures for safe handling of hazardous materials
  • Familiarity with EPA Standards
  • Extensive knowledge in data collection and analyzation
  • Ability to prepare reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities and status as well as a customer facing Statement of Work.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
  • Must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (also referred to as an “Employment Authorization”) by the USG’s designated Security Office.
  • May be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement
  • Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance.
  • TRAVEL: The selected candidate will be required to travel within Continental United States (CONUS), Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean. during the performance of this contract to attend meetings, conferences, and training.

  • RISK LEVEL DESIGNATION : Moderate Risk - background investigations required and Personnel performing labor categories designated at the MODERATE or LOW risk levels must be either United States Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents of the United States.
  • SECURITY: The selected candidate may be required a secret facility clearance from the Defense Security Service. The Contractor’s employees, performing work in support of this contract shall have or shall be in a position to obtain security clearances from the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office.
