The Histology Technologist is responsible for daily specimen processing in the histology laboratory. Communicates with staff physicians and other staff employees regarding patient specimens. Works with management personnel to ensure efficient and technically correct systems and procedures in the histology laboratory that includes QA/QC of reagents, instrumentation, proficiency testing, etc. Safeguarding our patients and each other is an important part of how we deliver the best care possible to the communities we serve. Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in clinical lab, chemistry, biology or related field
  • Certification and a FL Histology technologist clinical laboratory license
  • Successful completion of board-approved Histology training program with ASCP HT or HTL
  • SCREENINGS – Background, drug, and nicotine screens

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of clinical lab/histology experience preferred.
  • Experience may be substituted for education as described by the State Clinical Laboratory Personnel Statutes.
