Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today. Assists Pathology Department with a variety of vital functions including the work activities in the Histology Lab, Cytology and Morgue. This position provides organizational and technical support to the histology technicians and pathology laboratory technical assistants to ensure proper preparation of receiving, preparing and processing surgical and/or cytology specimens. This position ensures that there is compliance with established protocols and guidelines for the pathology operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education
• Current HT/HTL certification through American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
• Three (3) years of experience as a Histology Tech.
• All applicants must submit to a Color-Acuity screening

Nice To Haves

• Computer keyboard and information system experience.
• Immuno chemistry experience and/or training.
• B.S. degree in science, plus successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program.
