Join our lab team as Histology Tech! Job Title: Histology Technician III Location: Mill Creek Pathology Lab Typical Schedule: Mondays – Fridays, 7:30am – 4:00pm Wage Range: $28.00 - 35.00 hourly (Pay is dependent upon a combination of multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, transferable skills, business needs, and geographic market availability) General Description of All Benefits: Health Insurance – medical, dental, and vision with HSA, FSA options 401k - employer matching up to 4% Life Insurance – employer paid & voluntary options 8 paid holidays per year Tiered PTO accrual 80 – 200 hours annually Complimentary parking Pet insurance voluntary option Employee Assistance Program provided Qualifications: HT or HTL (ASCP) certified or HT or HTL eligible – bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science Frozen section experience preferred, but not required Some duties include: Accession specimens for grossing Prepare skin tissue specimens for microscopic examination Process and embed samples Section paraffin-embedded samples Prepare reagents, solutions, control slides, and special stains Accurately label tissue samples and slides Other duties as assigned, including performing routine maintenance and cleaning, filing slides and blocks Our lab technicians must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment while adhering to OSHA/CLIA requirements Our histotechnicians/histotechnologists must have the ability to work efficiently with other team members to meet daily processing deadlines, be highly organized, and extremely detail oriented. Requirements

  • HT or HTL (ASCP) certified or HT or HTL eligible – bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science
  • Our lab technicians must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment while adhering to OSHA/CLIA requirements

Responsibilities
