About The Position

The Histology Technician (HT) processes, embeds & sections Surgical Pathology cases. The HT performs routine, special & immunohistochemistry stains. Mounts, labels & distributes microscopy slides to the Pathologists. Completes & maintains PM/QC records. Performs general preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma,GED,orDEquivalent
• 2 years of experience
• Knowledge of lab equipment and apparatus.
• General knowledge of a variety of standard tests, techniques, methods and procedures.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working under a Qualified Director of Pathology.
