About The Position
The Histology Technician will perform high-volume tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Strong precision skills and efficiency are critical for success in this role.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Histology experience
- ASCP-HT Certification (Required)
- Strong experience in high-volume laboratory settings
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Pending state license accepted
- Locals not accepted (100-mile radius restriction applies)

- Paraffin wax section preparation
- Embedding & Microtomy
- Automated and manual microtome use
- Cryostat sectioning
- Cutting blocks and precision microtomy
- Microtomy of fatty and hard tissue
- Embedding GI specimens
- Embedding large specimens
- Embedding molds
- Embedding small and large specimens
- Embedding skin specimens
- Histology cassette handling
- Staining
- Hematoxylin & Eosin (H&E) staining
- Slide preparation for staining
