The Department Supervisor oversees daily operations and personnel within the Histology department, ensuring efficient workflow, staff competency, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include scheduling, performance management, staff training, and process improvement. This role requires advanced knowledge of histologic techniques, strong leadership, and effective communication skills to support operational and quality objectives. The Supervisor collaborates with management to maintain efficient departmental operations and ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, OSHA).
