About The Position

Your Job Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Certified Histocompatibility Technologist to join its TEAM. The Histocompatibility Technologist performs laboratory analyses of laboratory specimens as requested while distributing test requests to requesting patient care unit, facility or physician while supporting the mission, vision and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. The Transplant Immunology and Immunogenetics Laboratory at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas is a CAP accredited laboratory serving a 500-bed teaching hospital with very active Kidney. Kidney/Pancreas and liver transplant programs. Additionally, our laboratory has an active Flow Cytometry program performing leukemia and lymphoma immunophenotyping and immune monitoring for the Methodist Health System Your Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree with appropriate natural science classes • Registered or registry eligible MT(ASCP), CHT(ASHI), CHS(ASHI) or equivalent • New graduate or certified MT work experience • Must be able to distinguish color. Related Work Experience and Other Skills: Certified Histocompatibility Or, New graduate or certified MT work experience High level of energy and motivation Must be able to assume a lead role in the absence of onsite supervisory personnel Your Job Responsibilities: • The position includes testing in the following areas:◦HLA typing by SSOP molecular methodologies • HLA antibody screening and analysis via Luminex technologies • Flow Cytometric cross matching and post- transplant immune monitoring • Leukemia and Lymphoma immunophenotyping. • TB testing via Quantiferon Gold assay • Other testing includes urine and serum protein electrophoresis and immunofixation, Elisa testing for heparin induced thrombocytopenia. • Communicate Clearly Openly • Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment • Be accountable for your performance • Always look for ways to improve the patient experience • Take Initiative for your professional growth • Be engaged and eager to build a winning team Methodist Dallas Medical Center is one of North Texas’ best places to work. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with appropriate natural science classes
