About The Position

The Hispanic Resource Specialist at Pueblo City-County Library District is a full-time role focused on promoting engagement and increasing circulation, visits, and program attendance for services targeting the Hispanic and Spanish-speaking community. This position serves as a liaison between the library and the Hispanic community, providing interpretation services, coordinating programs, and supporting community needs assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Studies or related field.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and interpret between the two languages.
• One year of related library or work experience in a Hispanic resource environment is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use various electronic and digital devices.

• Experience in developing programs and planning events.

Responsibilities

• Promote engagement and increase circulation, visits, and program attendance for Hispanic services.
• Serve as a liaison for the library district and the Hispanic community.
• Provide Spanish interpretation help and create informational materials in Spanish.
• Plan, execute, and promote programs and events for Hispanic customers and their families.
• Collaborate with District staff on community outreach efforts and Spanish-language programs.
• Assist in collection development for bilingual and Spanish materials.
• Support community needs assessment and evaluate services and programs.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.
