About The Position
Home Instead Metairie is seeking dedicated Weekend Caregivers to provide essential support and companionship to seniors in the Metairie, LA area. As a caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering companionship, assistance with daily activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being. This position is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, patient, and enjoy working with the elderly. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that may include light housekeeping, meal preparation, and providing incidental transportation to appointments and errands. Additionally, you will assist clients with medication reminders and provide specialized care for those with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. The role requires a commitment to treating seniors with dignity and respect, and the ability to listen and communicate effectively. Weekend caregivers will have the opportunity to work flexible hours, with shifts available in various formats including 10-hour, 12-hour, and 8-hour shifts. This position is available for both full-time and part-time employment, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week.
