Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) caregivers to join our team in Long Valley, NJ. This position is crucial as our caregivers are the backbone of our business, providing essential services to seniors and their families who are striving to maintain their independence. We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, caring, nurturing, and dependable. As a CHHA, you will be responsible for assisting clients with their activities of daily living (ADLs), which include personal care tasks such as dressing and bathing, as well as instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) like light housekeeping and meal preparation. You will be expected to handle various client conditions, including but not limited to dementia, combative clients, and the use of Hoyer lifts for transfers. Effective communication is key, as you will need to write detailed entries regarding the client’s condition and any pertinent information that will assist other caregivers in providing care. This position requires flexibility, as you may need to fill in for same-day call-outs. You will be serving clients primarily in Warren and Morris Counties, and the role demands a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, with the potential for more hours. Compensation ranges from $16 to $20 per hour, with additional incentives for mileage based on travel distance. To qualify, you must have reliable transportation, at least one year of experience working with seniors in a home setting, and proficiency in English with excellent communication skills. Additionally, you will need to provide two references, proof of a recent TB test, and pass a background check. Certification from an accredited program for Certified Home Health Aides is also required, along with a current state certification. This position will be under the general direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
