About The Position

The position of Delivery Driver at FedEx Ground involves the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of packages to various businesses and residences. The role requires a reliable and highly motivated individual who can manage a high volume of deliveries while providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Preferred experience with Step Van or box truck delivery driving.
• Pass a drug test with continued random drug screens.
• Pass a DOT physical test.
• Ability to safely lift/carry up to 75 lbs. and maneuver up to 150 lbs. with a hand truck.
• Pass FedEx Ground criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Punctuality and readiness to work each day.
• Ability to climb stairs while lifting or maneuvering packages.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and a 'get it done' attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Experience driving Step Vans for at least 1 year.
• Non-CDL Class C license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the vehicle operates safely at all times.
• Deliver and pick up packages to businesses and residences.
• Manage a daily route with 185-215 stops.
• Perform daily inspections of the vehicle.
• Organize daily loads for efficient delivery.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain communication with the manager.
• Accurately operate a scanner and track the delivery process.
• Ensure accurate disposition of package delivery and pickup.
• Consistently deliver the entire route in a timely manner.
