About The Position

Description Title: HIPPY Home Visitors/Community Outreach Caseworkers Position Codes: 330102358, 100019184, and 330102360 Job Code: 5935 Salary Range: $40,000 - $41,580 Responsibilities Duties Conduct weekly home visits to assigned clients to explain, instruct, demonstrate and review appropriate school readiness activities. Participate in 6-8 hours of curricula instruction and staff development trainings each week. Participate in monthly family engagement meetings with clients, other program participants, and staff. Prepare and lead an interactive activity each month related to Science, Technology, Engineering Arts or Mathematics for families. Develop and track individualized service plans for assigned children to help them reach developmental milestones. Complete weekly reports: Individual client reports, progress reports, curriculum requests, assessment requests and maintain a sampling of clients' work in files. Complete monthly mileage reports. Administer pre and post child and parent assessments, surveys and tests for evaluation and research activities. Assess and track Interactive vocabulary building an activities bi-weekly for assigned clients and disseminate developmental milestones resources to parents. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with three years' experience in office, administrative, or customer services positions.
  • Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
  • This position is subject to a Level 1 and Level 2 criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Has experience working in a HIPPY program, be a current/former Parent in the HIPPY Program or have regular access to a three or four-year old child to practice weekly HIPPY activities
  • Good oral and written communication skills and reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
