About The Position

Are you a passionate dance instructor who loves working with children? Ensemble Schools is looking for an experienced Hip Hop teacher to inspire and nurture the next generation of students at Production Company Dance Centre. Our growing studio in Longmont, CO focuses on providing quality instruction in a safe environment. We're seeking instructors who can deliver engaging, in-person lessons and contribute to the vibrant dance community. Our positive classrooms are staffed by amazing teachers who go beyond teaching dance technique to developing important life skills in students because PCDC is about More Than Just Great Dancing! We are looking for a teacher on Thursday evenings to fill the following classes - 1) Level 3 Hip Hop | 4:15–5:10 PM Get ready to move! This upbeat class builds coordination, strength, quickness, and agility while introducing dancers to fun and dynamic hip hop choreography. Students will warm up, practice skills, and learn combinations/routines—all to age-appropriate music and movement. Level 3 dancers are challenged to refine their technique while bringing their own energy and personality to the floor. 2) Hip Hop Elite | Competitive Solo Rehearsal | 5:15–5:45 PM This focused rehearsal time is dedicated to preparing competitive dancers for the stage. The emphasis is on completing and cleaning choreography, while developing performance quality, confidence, and presentation. By the end of the season, routines will be polished and performance-ready for competition. 3) Level 1/2 Hip Hop | 6:15-7:10 Perfect for dancers building a strong foundation, this class introduces the fundamentals of hip hop with a slower pace and less intricate choreography than Level 3. Students will improve coordination, rhythm, and basic skills while gaining confidence in movement. Fun, high-energy combinations ensure dancers stay motivated and engaged while developing essential technique. Requirements

  • Strong background in hip hop
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to the art of teaching dance.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary dance training experience such as a certificate or degree in dance performance, education, or related fields (not mandatory but a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Instructing students in hip hop techniques across various skill levels, beginner through advanced (ages 6-15).
  • Implementing lesson plans to optimize growth
  • Fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Reliable transportation and ability to pass a routine background check
