About The Position

- The HIM Warehouse TECH I - Shift 1 at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for managing and organizing health information management (HIM) warehouse operations. This role ensures the accurate and efficient handling of medical records and documents, supporting the center's commitment to providing high-quality behavioral health services.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or inventory management role.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling and processing records.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other departments.
Physical ability to lift and move boxes and materials as required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in healthcare or medical records management is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the HIM warehouse, ensuring records are stored safely and systematically.
Retrieve, process, and deliver medical records and documents as requested by authorized personnel.
Ensure compliance with all health information management policies and procedures, including confidentiality and security standards.
Assist in the implementation of warehouse inventory control systems to track and manage records effectively.
Collaborate with the HIM team to improve warehouse operations and streamline processes.
Conduct regular audits of warehouse records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Support the transition to electronic health records (EHR) by digitizing paper documents and entering data into the system.
Respond promptly to inquiries regarding medical records and provide exceptional customer service to staff and patients.
Participate in training sessions and stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to health information management.
