HIM Specialist II
About The Position
Valley View is seeking a HIM Specialist II with strong attention to detail and customer service skills to assist our Medical Records Department. Medical record experience preferred. This is a full-time position. THIS IS AN ON-SITE, IN-PERSON POSITION ONLY! Must have a high level of accuracy with attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Must also have the ability to function in high multi-tasking environment. Computer proficiency required with the ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with all staff, co-workers and customers. Customer Service experience preferred!

Nice To Haves
- Medical Secretary Certification or Health Information Management courses preferred
- Previous Health Information Experience preferred.
- Customer Service experience preferred!
Responsibilities
- Performs Main Medical Record Activities.
- Performs Departmental receptionist/secretary duties.
- Performs Scanning, QA and Document indexing Activities.
- Performs Periodic Record Review Activities as Directed by HIM Management.
- Performs Routine MPI Management functions.
- Provides Departmental coverage for Birth Certificate Registrations.
- Provides Release of Information Services as needed.
