The HIM ROI Technician processes all requests for release of information while complying with Federal/State laws and regulations. The Protected Health Information (PHI) may be sent to health care facilities, physicians, attorneys, third party payers, insurance companies, law enforcement, patients, and their authorized representatives. You will provide tier 2 support of myChart issues reported by patients and perform technical support duties including resetting passwords, establishing accounts, and communicating status requests. In this onsite role, you serve as the medical record custodian designee by certifying medical records as a public notary as requested. You will determine the validity of authorization and/or type of request, verify patient requests, or identify authorized entities.
