As the HIM Document Imaging Technician, you are the primary training resource for new staff and participate in testing document management system functionality, new releases and make recommendations for system enhancements. You will work with other departments, physician offices and hospitals as the liaison between HIM and other departments for record retrieval and conversion. In this role, you will electronically index documents in the imaging system while conducting a quality and accuracy process.   • Train new staff on document imaging processes.
  • Participate in testing document management system functionality and new releases.
  • Make recommendations for system enhancements.
  • Act as a liaison between HIM and other departments for record retrieval and conversion.
  • Electronically index documents in the imaging system.
  • Conduct quality and accuracy processes.
  • Associate degree in a healthcare related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 2 years experience in health information management, physician office, clinical or hospital business office.
  • Degree in CAHIIM (Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management).
  • Document scanning and electronic medical record experience.
