Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of workflow and assessment of system needs and requirements.
- Plan, design, and test systems and interfaces.
- Coordinate work efforts with applicable MIS and organizational personnel.
- Train end-users as required.
- Document and troubleshoot work involved in systems implementation and maintenance.
- Act as liaison to business partners and business area end users.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related industry field and 5+ years experience or equivalent knowledge and experience required.
- Experience in supporting and implementing healthcare information systems required.
- Technical/programming experience required.
- Ability to translate clinical/business need into E.H.R. or ERP based workflow is required.
- PC-based computer skills, spreadsheet and word processing proficiency required.
- Five (5) years MIS and/or clinical experience, including two (2) years in similar and related position required.
- EPIC Certifications: HIM Release of Information; HIM Deficiency Tracking, HIM Hospital Coding, Identity.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons.
Nice-to-haves
- CPHMIS/CAHIMS or ANA Nursing Informatics Certification preferred.
- Experience with Onbase, 3M, and RightFax.
