Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a related position.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Housekeeping and the hotel's services, policies, and operations.
  • Ability to communicate information and hotel services to management, staff, and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and perform administrative duties of Class III Engineer and special skills of Class I, II Engineer.
  • Assist the Director of Engineering in supervising the Engineering staff.
  • Interview, recommend hiring, train, schedule, prepare payroll, coach and counsel, and make recommendations for performance evaluations and discipline as needed.
  • Assign work orders to staff and monitor progress and results.
  • Monitor, control and report on energy conservation programs.
  • Responsible for all life/safety systems including fire, elevators, disasters, emergency lighting, and generating systems.
  • Maintain all motors and control circuits.
  • Arrange for proper trash removal and recycling.
  • Purchase equipment and supplies and maintain pars.
  • Maintain audio systems within the hotel.
  • Perform duties of a Class II or III Engineer as needed.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Participate in hotel committees and task force assignments.
